Today marks the official T-Mobile launch of the new and improved Vivox-powered Bobsled voice chat application. Some of you may recall that we worked with T-Mobile to launch the original Bobsled application earlier this year. The app was well received, but this is a fast-moving, competitive market. So, we went back to work and have developed new features and capabilities that we know users will love.
As we reviewed the feature set for Bobsled, we thought about our company’s founding mission – communications should be deeply integrated into all consumer experiences. We’d already made great strides toward that goal, but we knew Bobsled had the potential to make the promise of VoiceEverywhere a reality.
T-Mobile shares our vision for the future of communications and together we’ve developed a game-changing product in Bobsled. From always-on accessibility to true cross platform performance, the new Bobsled application is seamless, intuitive, and goes wherever you go. It extends conversations across platforms and devices and allows users to communicate with their friends with a single click, no matter where they are, what device they’re using, or what website they’re browsing.
Here are some of the great new features of Bobsled:
Bobsled on the Web – Once signed into the Bobsled application, users can click to talk with their friends from wherever they are online. There’s no need to sign on again or dial a number. Just click the Bobsled icon in the browser and start talking. If a friend doesn’t answer, users can leave a voice message or text on their Facebook wall. How cool is that?
Free Calling – Leveraging our massive network, we’ve made it possible for users to dial out to their friends anywhere in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico for free.
Bobsled for Apple iOS and Android – Marking our first mobile products, Bosbled is now available as an app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and also for Android smartphones or tablets. The Bobsled mobile application allows users to call or voice message their Facebook friends from their mobile device for free.
